Eating Disorder Awareness Week

22nd - 28th February 2009

' The eating disorder awareness week' is an international annual event to highlight the dramatic increase of all eating disorders. There will be a number of talks and articles during this year's Eating Disorder Awareness Week. Please check the local press, the RTÉ guide and the internet.

However, we all should be aware of that people living with eating disorders are the ones, who are most aware of their eating distress. They need more than awareness, they need compassionate understanding of the condition eating distress.

In fact they need help!

Awareness must lead to the understanding what eating distress really means.

Understanding eating distress leads to recovery.
